Jingshan City has successfully applied for the 2025 High-Efficiency, High-Quality Smart Agriculture Demonstration Pilot Project in the Jianghan Plain. The project will construct an agricultural service center, an intelligent seedling-raising center, a smart field production area, and a digital management platform, covering multiple administrative villages. This marks a new stage in the digital development of agriculture in Jingshan City.

With "hardware upgrade + software support" as the core, the project builds a full-chain smart agriculture system. The specific solutions are as follows:
Investment and Implementation Model: The total investment of the project is 30.6 million yuan, jointly implemented by local agricultural enterprises. It innovatively adopts the "government guidance + enterprise leadership + farmer participation" model. The government is responsible for policy support and supervision, enterprises undertake facility construction and technology implementation, and farmers participate by contributing land or labor, forming a win-win pattern for all parties.
Construction Content: The core of the project revolves around "four major sectors" — the agricultural service center provides full-process agricultural services, the intelligent seedling-raising center ensures high-quality and efficient seedling cultivation, the smart field production area demonstrates advanced planting technologies, and the digital management platform connects industrial data links, forming a closed-loop smart agricultural ecosystem.
Technical Features: Different from traditional agricultural projects, this project focuses on "hardware-software synergy". In terms of hardware, over 1,200 sets of smart agricultural machinery have been promoted; in terms of software, a dedicated digital platform has been developed. At the same time, it links with 3 existing agricultural IoT demonstration bases to achieve technology reuse and scale effects.

This collaboration mechanism breaks the traditional "solo operation" model in agriculture. By clarifying the responsibilities and rights of all parties, it optimizes resource allocation. By the preparation phase of the project in 2025, over 200 farmers have voluntarily joined, and it is expected that each household will increase their annual income by more than 12,000 yuan.

In the past, I had to hire many people for seedling-raising, but now the intelligent seedling-raising center has solved this problem for us, and the seedling emergence rate is much higher than before. The government's subsidy policy is also in place, which gives us farmers the courage to try new technologies."
"The digital management platform has greatly improved the management efficiency of our cooperative. We can view real-time data from sowing to harvesting, and the early warning for plant diseases and pests is also very timely. Especially the UAV plant protection service, which saves nearly 40% of pesticide usage compared with traditional methods."
Project Implementation Team Feedback: Currently, the construction of various parts of the project is progressing smoothly, and farmers' enthusiasm for participation has exceeded expectations. Through the preliminary pilot, the operation efficiency of smart agricultural machinery has increased by more than 30% compared with traditional methods, and the usage of chemical fertilizers and pesticides has decreased by 25%, initially demonstrating the economic and ecological benefits of smart agriculture. In the next step, the service process will be continuously optimized based on user feedback.
The project plans to complete the construction of core facilities and technology implementation by the end of 2025 and enter the full operation phase in 2026. In the future, it will deepen development in three aspects: first, expand the coverage and promote the smart agriculture model to all towns in Jingshan City within 3 years; second, expand the industrial dimension and introduce smart fruit-vegetable cultivation and smart breeding on the basis of grain planting; third, build a regional brand, focusing on "Jingshan Smart Agriculture" to promote agricultural product premium and contribute to rural revitalization and agricultural modernization.
